Programme Outcomes

On successful completion of the B.Arch (B.Arch full form: Bachelor of Architecture) programme at VU School of Architecture & Planning, students will be able to:

  • Understand the basic knowledge of Architecture and its application in the fields of design, structure, building materials, technology, architectural professional practice and apply the knowledge from theory to design.
  • Understand & Choose the appropriate materials based on their structural, physical, aesthetic properties and limitations to be applied in the built spaces.
  • Understand structural concept & appropriate application as per the project needs.
  • Understand the impact of different environmental, social, and economic parameters of architectural history and analyse the same in the context of present times in terms of its adaptation, conservation, and applications in design and structures in parallel with history.
  • Acquire the knowledge of the climate of different regions to understand and analyse the climatic considerations, specific architectural needs of the region in terms of its architecture and planning principles.
  • Learn and apply appropriate graphical skills to communicate and translate the design thoughts in the graphical language, following the contemporary conventions of graphics.
  • Communicate effectively with the Architectural community and with society at large, such as being able to comprehend and write effective reports, make effective presentations and documentation, and give and receive clear instructions.
  • Learn, select, and apply appropriate computing tools with an understanding of their application towards problem-solving as well as their limitations.
  • Calculate the quantity of various materials and items of work used in the construction and derive a cost estimate based on the available market rates and the quantities calculated.
  • Recognise the need of the site & project by analysing site conditions, soil characteristics, to suggest appropriate strategies & species for a durable, easy to maintain landscape.
  • Describe and detail the material and expected quality of work to be used in construction, based on the knowledge of materials, techniques, and the market forms.
  • Understand the architectural needs of the present generation without compromising the architectural needs of future generations, which satisfy their needs and implement the knowledge of sustainable and green architecture to translate them into practice.
  • Utilise the principles of scheduling, resource management, and time management in solving problems and making decisions for projects.
  • Apply the knowledge of urban design and housing in the context of architecture and planning to demonstrate empathy in the application of applied architectural skills of architectural design and execution in terms of planning and design principles.
  • Honour personal values and apply ethical principles in professional and social conduct. Use ethical frameworks; apply ethical principles while making decisions, and take responsibility for the outcomes associated with the decisions.

Option 1- Online Form Filling

Visit Vishwakarma University (VU) website: www.vupune.ac.in

Click On “Apply for Admission” Button.

This is the online admission functionality of Vishwakarma University (VU), Pune.

Refer and understand all information tabs regarding Approvals, -Fees, Documents, Hostel, etc.

After clearing all queries/doubts click on the “Secure Provisional Admission” Button.

It will guide you through the following steps.

Step 1: Fill up Basic Information (Application Form) – Proceed to Apply – Pay Rs.

2000/- (Non-Refundable) as an application fee towards Provisional Admission.

Step 2: Fill up the Detail Provisional Admission Form and Pay Rs.

25,000/- (First Instalment) to secure provisional Admission.

At every step necessary information/updates (pdf attachments) will be provided on email.

Option 2 - Offline (In Person) Form Filling

Apply in person for provisional admission by filling up the Application Form (Fees – Rs.

2000/- non-refundable) and Provisional Admission Form along with provisional admission of fees of Rs.

25,000/-

All payments are to be made digitally (UPI / Debit Card / Credit Card / NEFT / RTGS etc.)
