On successful completion of the D.Pharm. programme at VU, the student will be able to:

• ✔Acquire the knowledge and comprehension of core concepts of pharmacy, biomedical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, and manufacturing practices.
• ✔Demonstrate effective planning abilities, including time management, resource management, delegation skills and organisational skills.
• ✔Utilise the principles of scientific enquiry, analytical thinking and critical thinking while solving problems during daily practice.
• ✔Find, analyse, evaluate and apply information systematically and make defensible decisions.
• ✔Understand the human reaction to change, motivational issues, leadership and team-building issues while fulfilling professional and societal responsibilities as a responsible citizen to facilitate improvement in health and well-being.
• ✔Understand, analyze and communicate the value of their professional roles in society (e.g. healthcare professionals, promoters of health, educators, managers, employers, employees).
• ✔Honour personal values and apply ethical principles in professional and social contexts.
