Course Overview

The Diploma in Pharmacy or D. Pharm is basically the first step for any candidate who wants to be a registered pharmacist in India. Pursuing a Diploma in Pharmacy is probably the simplest and quickest way of entering the health sector. It is a two-year diploma program which prepares students for basic level jobs at retail pharmacies, hospital pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies.

D. Pharm. is a course regulated by the Pharmacy Council of India according to their norms. The curriculum mainly focuses on practical and technical skill development in areas such as drug dispensing, prescription interpretation, drug safety, and pharmacy management. The system of education incorporates theoretical as well as practical lab training to develop highly competent professionals.

Programme Outcomes

On successful completion of the D.Pharm. programme at VU, the student will be able to:

  • Acquire the knowledge and comprehension of core concepts of pharmacy, biomedical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, and manufacturing practices.

  • Utilise the principles of scientific enquiry, analytical thinking and critical thinking while solving problems during daily practice.
  • Find, analyse, evaluate and apply information systematically and make defensible decisions.
  • Understand the human reaction to change, motivational issues, leadership and team-building issues while fulfilling professional and societal responsibilities as a responsible citizen to facilitate improvement in health and well-being.

Option 1- Online Form Filling

Click On “Apply for Admission” Button.

This is the online admission functionality of Vishwakarma University (VU), Pune.

Refer and understand all information tabs regarding Approvals, -Fees, Documents, Hostel, etc.

After clearing all queries/doubts click on the “Secure Provisional Admission” Button.

It will guide you through the following steps.

Step 1: Fill up Basic Information (Application Form) – Proceed to Apply – Pay Rs.

2000/- (Non-Refundable) as an application fee towards Provisional Admission.

Step 2: Fill up the Detail Provisional Admission Form and Pay Rs.

25,000/- (First Instalment) to secure provisional Admission.

At every step necessary information/updates (pdf attachments) will be provided on email.
