The VU Wellness Centre of Excellence (VUWCOE) focuses on supporting the mental, emotional, physical, and psychosocial wellbeing of students and employees at Vishwakarma University. In line with the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) and the recommendations of the University Grants Commission (UGC), the centre works towards creating a supportive and aware academic environment that recognises the importance of mental health and holistic wellbeing.

Objectives of the Centre
The VU Wellness Centre of Excellence aims:
To provide evidence-based guidance and counselling services to students and faculty members that help them attain personal and professional excellence while developing resilience to face life’s challenges.
To equip students and faculty members with life skills, intellectual development, and psycho-social competencies to become responsible, healthy, and resilient individuals.
To create an inclusive and supportive environment that values diversity, acknowledges unique needs, and ensures accessible services for all members of the university community.
To ensure holistic success, happiness, and overall well-being of students and faculty members through comprehensive, multi-modal wellness services.
To promote a culture of psychological wellness, personal safety, and mutual respect through collaborative partnerships with faculty, staff, and community stakeholders.

The Centre functions from Monday to Friday between 9 AM and 5 PM.

The centre will provide a schedule for interaction or counselling sessions. Counselling support may also be extended during after-hours, holidays, and weekends in emergency situations.
Modes of Counselling
Counselling sessions are conducted through:
In-person counselling
Online counselling
For online counselling sessions, a Google Meet link will be shared with the client. This mode is primarily intended for emergency situations.
Fees
Counselling services are provided free of cost for students and employees of Vishwakarma University.
