Department of Computer Engineering

The Department of Computer Engineering, Vishwakarma University, Pune was established in 2017 with the B.Tech programme in Computer Engineering. In the AY 2020-21, we further expanded our academic courses by introducing B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, which is a testimony of our commitment to advanced technology and education that prepares students for the future. The department has evolved into a lively academic unit, which is technically robust as well as industry-relevant.

Students gain the advantage of using state-of-the-art laboratories, modern infrastructure and a syllabus that focuses on practice-based learning. Internships are an integral part of the academic structure, with a compulsory industry exposure in the final year and part-time jobs providing additional opportunities for deserving students to earn as well as learn.

Launched by our students, the Software Club Revolution acts as a catalyst for the improvement of the learning environment by bringing experts, holding coding contests, and running peer-driven technical activities that inspire innovation and teamwork.

As part of our collaboration with IBM, students have the option to specialise in Business Analytics or Cyber Security & Forensics, along with a minor project, within a well-structured course framework. Backed by faculty members with doctoral qualifications and areas of specialisation such as Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, AR/VR and Deep Learning, the department is geared towards producing technically proficient, industry-ready graduates capable of starting careers, becoming researchers, seeking higher studies and setting up businesses.
